Non-Accredited Master and Doctorate Program Directory

Are you a registered dietitian nutritionist or nutrition and dietetic technician, registered looking to complement your credential with an advanced degree? In addition to nutrition and dietetics, there are many fields and disciplines that offer master's or doctoral degrees.

Please note: This list of advanced degree programs in nutrition, dietetics and related areas is not all-inclusive. It is offered as a source of information for nutrition and dietetics students and practitioners interested in pursuing a graduate degree. Contact the program representative listed for complete details about each program.

These advanced degree programs may or may not include the coursework and/or supervised practice experience accredited by the ACEND that is needed to meet the eligibility requirements for the registration examination for dietitians. If you are interested in becoming an RDN, visit the ACEND-accredited programs directory.

Graduate programs housed in a U.S. regionally-accredited institution who are interested in being listed in this directory should contact ACEND.

Advanced Practice Residency Programs

The ACEND Advanced Practice Residency Program (APR) Guidelines were established to foster the development of advanced practice residency programs for registered dietitian nutritionists across the spectrum of dietetics practice. The APR provide comprehensive, systematic, evidence-based approaches to advanced level practice education and training for current RDNs meeting established prerequisites.

APRs have both didactic and experiential components and are sponsored by institutions that provide advanced level education, training and mentoring in practice areas.

APR Documents

The Academy Foundation has grant-funding available to support institutions interested in starting an Advanced Practice Residency program based on ACEND Guidelines.
