Gaining Employer Support to Attend FNCE®
Are you interested in attending the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo®, but need resources to support your case to attend? You've come to the right place! Here are four simple steps and talking points to gain your employer's support to attend FNCE®.
Step 1: Review the FNCE® program and create a sample agenda with the list of sessions, workshops and excursions you wish to attend.
Emphasize to your employer the great value and benefits you'll gain from attending FNCE®. After all, it's where you can learn the latest scientific information on food and nutrition, discover new dietetic trends, connect with peers and access top experts — all in just four days. You'll learn how to apply your updated skills and knowledge, enabling you to immediately improve your employer's overall workplace practices and performance. The return on investment will be evident in the bottom line. The FNCE® 2025 educational program will be released in spring 2025.
Step 2: Outline your top three reasons for attending and provide the benefits for each.
To help you get started, here are some examples you can use, customize and build upon:
I will gain practical skills and learn proven methods that will help provide optimal care for (our customers/clients/patients).
The majority of the FNCE® educational sessions are Level 2 and Level 3 and are led by content experts. In addition, practice applications are incorporated into every session to ensure that what I learn, I can immediately apply at our facility.
Learning from real success stories means I will save time and money trying to figure out what works.
Many organizations waste time going through a lot of trial and error before discovering the formula for success. A good conference will not only challenge our current way of thinking, but also provide actionable advice and takeaways. At FNCE®, the speakers always challenge attendees to think critically about their work. They also provide advice and actions that can be implemented immediately.
This is a networking opportunity I can't miss.
Some of the food and nutrition industry's top experts are at FNCE®, both as speakers and as participants. Attending will give me the opportunity to interact with leaders in the field, learn from others' successes and challenges, and create lasting connections.
Step 3: Send a formal request letter and include total cost (registration and travel costs).
